BRU
NA BOINNE
In
1993 Bru Na Boinne was designated a World Heritage Site
by UNESCO. This area is one of the world's most important
archaeological landscapes covering the prehistoric tombs
of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth.
This is a popular site and visitors must book their
Tour Arrangements at the Bru Na Boinne Visitor Centre.

Boyne
View is an ideal base for touring Dublin. We are less
than one hours drive from Dublin city centre. We can
advise on touring, shopping and sporting occasions.
FISHING
We
are located on the banks of the River Boyne with 2000
metres of fishing. This part of the Boyne was voted
the best trout fishing in the British Isles 2004.
The
upper Boyne lakes are a 30 minute drive away. They are
Lough Lene which has a blue flag for water quality by
the EEC.
It is mainly trout fishing with boat hire and permits
available locally.
Another
Boyne lake is Lough Bane which is only 6km from Lough
Lene. Wild brown trout can be found on this lake.
White
Lough is another of the Boyne lakes and brown and rainbow
trout can be found on this lake.
PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE VARIOUS ANGLING ASSOCIATION
AND CAN BE ARRANGED PRIOR TO YOUR HOLIDAY.
If
you get tired of Fishing, why not take a Barge on the
royal canal less than 9km away or head to Athlone where
you can hire out a boat for the day.
